Custom Scientific HA 4.5 nm Filter - 50mm Square Unmounted AR

The Custom Scientific H-Alpha 656.3/4.5 nanometer filter is a great accessory for imaging emission nebulae which emit large amounts of the H-Alpha spectral line at a 4.5 nanometer bandpass due to excited hydrogen atoms. This helps enhance the visibility of hot gas being excited by the electrons giving off excess energy of photos due to close luminous hot stars being born nearby. Since this is a 4.5 nanometer bandpass, it is highly recommended that this filter be used with telescopes that have slower focal ratios to achieve maximum efficiency. This filter is available in 1.25" round mounted, 50mm round unmounted, and 50mm square formats.
