Atomic Pier Range - Alpha Standard model - Design for Modern Harmonic drive mounts WD20 AM3 AM5 AM7
Evolution should never stop - Atomic piers is a modern take on a Jurassic idea!
Most astronomers do not need these big mega heavy large dinosaurs piers but have had zero choice up until now, as that's all that is currently produced by UK manufacturers. The astronomy market has changed a lot and is not the same as it was 10/20 years ago with great lumbering beasts of a mount that weight 20/30kg by themselves
So why be forced to buy a pier that was designed for an extinct mount design?
To that end, this pier was designed in conjunction with well known UK pier designer to work with modern systems, at the same time maintaining the needed strength/rigidity whilst still being light/compact enough to be posted worldwide using a standard courier rather than having to go on a pallet.
Please note: the images used are from the prototype pier that I rattle canned blacked, it's not
powder coated and in some images not painted at all.
When I get full production
run through in a weeks time I will replace with product shots
